Situations vacant

We have vacancies for those handy person types among us, who would be prepared to make a bird box or two (or more) to support our ‘pesticides free strategy’ team. Boxes will be placed at optimal sites (generally facing between north and east, with adequate shade, and ventilation) around the site. This team are preparing a number of initiatives to support a healthier, ecologically ‘friendly’, environment at the site. Small birds have suffered due to the extended periods of heat, and we are trying to support their efforts at renewing the population in the spring.

‘Plans’ to manufacture bird boxes (especially for robins/ great tits / blue tits) are readily available e.g. https://www.rspb.org.uk/helping-nature/what-you-can-do/activities/build-a-birdbox.

The next scheduled Working Party is September 27th. Tickets for this event are selling fast! Some corporate box tickets are still available and for the piffling sum of £1,700 come with a cup of tea or coffee (your choice!) and a piece of cake!!Only (up to) two hours work required, and tasks are available that suit all abilities. Do not miss out on this opportunity!
